Before: bulge in the wall due to hydrostatic pressure. This is typical of homes in New England having to withstand the freezing and thawing cycles.

After: the top of the wall now replaced with substantially sized granite, notice how flat the new granite is on the top course. This will provide sill plate reinforcement with almost 100% contact. From the exterior, much more aesthetically pleasing from the rubble it once was.

Expert Foundation Repair

Before: this is a small detail of another bulge being replaced while tuckpointing (repointing deep into the wall) the surrounding joints.

After tuckpointing this seals the wall from water and air infiltration while providing structural stability.

Sill Replacement
Without proper drainage the sill plate will rot causing a collapse in the wall and noticeable leaning from the outside. Once the sill is in and the joists attached, the granite will now meet the plate at it’s new height providing almost 100% contact. This is a substantial support for the exterior wall relieving it’s stress it endured for so many years.

Underpinning
Underpinning with precast concrete piers. The new sill is in, and the floor will be back to level again. In this case, the foundation wall will be hidden with the future deck.

Undercarriage rehabilitation
This is an undercarriage rehabilitation project, with new concrete to accommodate structural posts. This provides a solid base for the floor joists and carrying beams above.
